Screen printing: The oldest and still most frequent way of printing is screen-printing. It's a simple procedure that uses synthetic screens to transfer the image to the sticker paper. It is for basic printing, and generally for only a restricted quantity of stickers. The ink is squeezed through the screen onto the paper which has a stencil on it. The procedure must be repeated for each color used; a stencil for one color is cut and pressed onto the paper. A stencil is cut for an additional color and which color is pressed to the sticker paper. The process is repeated until all colors are transferred and the design is complete. Letterpress printing: A form of relief printing using a press and movable type is called letterpress printing. A reversed, raised surface is inked and pressed in to the sticker paper to acquire a right sided image. It's usually utilized on small, basic projects of just one color. Flexography: A much quicker printing process, flexography makes for printing larger quantities of stickers. It is commonly found in commercial printing.

In flexography a master print is created and then used to print the image on a tag as the plate will be rolled on the paper. This is a popular process for sticker printing. Offset printing: In offset printing the image is transferred from a dish or rubber cylinder to the paper. Offset printing provides the printer several color options and prints excellent color. Four color process: This technique separates the colors of a genuine image in to the CMYK format - cyan, magenta, yellow and black. Separate files are produced for each color and printed with special inks so the image on the sticker looks identical to the original image. Digital printing: The absolute most advanced kind of printing is digital. You have the ability to make changes around the final minute, including color changes. In digital printing the ink sits on the paper as opposed to being absorbed into the paper. Digital printing isn't usually suited to large quantities, but is mostly employed for personal printing for your home or small business. However, an application of digital commercial printing sends the image straight to the press without making plates. This makes the procedure cleaner and quicker, but the image remains transferred with a press.
